Rebranding Fort Collins Old Town Churn

On April 27th, the Little Man Ice Cream Company announced that it is going to be rebranding three Colorado shops, aiming for growth while preserving local charm. There will be three Colorado ice cream shops that will have a new name, and these shops are Sweet Cooie's and Constellation, in Denver, and Fort Collins' Old Town Churn. They will be rebranded in May.

Sweet Cooie’s will be rebranded as Little Man Ice Cream Congress Park.

Constellation will be renamed Little Man Ice Cream Central Park. 

Old Town Churn will relaunch as Little Man Ice Cream Fort Collins.

This change is more than just a name change, this move allows the homegrown company to preserve the character of these neighborhood-staple locations, while ensuring a consistent, and new experience for consumers, setting the stage for continued growth and expansion in Colorado and beyond. The nostalgic look that makes these shops so beloved will stay the same, and there will simply be modifications to certain design elements to unify them with our other Little Man shops. As an incentive for customers, Little Man Ice Cream Company said that it will distribute free scoops for the first 50 guests at the newly rebranded locations:

Little Man Ice Cream Central Park — Friday, May 15, from 7pm until closing

Little Man Ice Cream Congress Park — Saturday, May 16, from 12pm until closing

Little Man Ice Cream, Fort Collins — Sunday, May 17, from 12pm until closing

Little Man Ice Cream Central Park is located at 10175 East 29th Drive, and is open Monday through Thursday from 3 to 9:30pm, Friday from 3 to 10pm, and Saturday through Sunday from 12:00 (noon) to 10pm. 

Little Man Ice Cream Congress Park is located at 3506 East 12th Avenue, and is open Monday through Thursday from 3 to 9pm, Friday and Saturday from 12:00 (noon) to 10pm, and Sunday from 12:00 (noon) to 9pm.

"As we’ve expanded in Colorado, opening new locations, offering wholesale, catering, and soon shipping nationwide*, we’ve learned just how important it is to have a consistent brand identity wherever the customer finds us," said Sarah Marie, Director of Sales and Marketing for Little Man Ice Cream. "This rebranding effort allows us to better share our Colorado roots and values, and creates alignment across our stores, allowing us to focus on growth and expansion in Colorado and beyond," (Kirk).

*The nationwide shipping will be a direct-to-consumer shipping effort.

The first Little Man Ice Cream shop was opened in 2008 in Denver, and is continuing to grow, with eleven other locations spread out across the Front Range. 

Finally, Little Man is well known for its larger-than-life installations, a precedent set by the 28-foot-tall milk can replica that houses the original shop at the LoHi location, aka “the Can.”

Simon Story is a 11th grader at Poudre High School, and this is his first year with the Poudre Press.
