Prom voting began on Monday the 23rd of March and will most likely be closing soon, there are four themes this year to choose from, Under the sea, Garden Party, Starry Night, and Glitz and Glamour. With Impalapalooza (Poudre high schools spirit week running from 3/30-4/3) happening so soon we can clearly see the student council ramping up. The link should have been emailed to all seniors and juniors available on the senior google classroom. (via interview with Naomy Vazquez-Alverez) But everyone still must buy a ticket. Seniors (as of last year) got a discounted price while all other guests had to buy tickets at full price. And for underclassmen you can still go to prom with some restrictions.
While going to prom as a freshman or sophomore is certainly not the expectation. It is very much so possible. As was the case in last year's prom. Last year it was set up so that if you had a senior or junior to invite you could attend the dance located at canvas stadium. You still had to buy a ticket and if invited to another school you would need a permission form. This also applies to juniors and seniors.
If you want to invite a student from another school you can, but you just need to fill out the paperwork at the front office. All of this information is based on last year's prom so the rules could be different this year as is always the case. However, none of that matters if you don't get your tickets which will go on sale closer to the date of prom so be sure to get ready. Last year tickets cost around $40 (the person I interviewed did not completely remember) so be ready to get them once they're available if you want to go this year.
prom is fast approaching as is the end of senior year. For seniors graduation at Moby area is approaching fast with submission for who is to give you your diploma already due the end has never been closer. Enjoy the final extravaganza of your senior year and take control by voting for the theme.
All information was acquired from an interview with Naomy Vazquez-Alverez
