Robert F Kennedy Jr as of Tuesday Mar 26, 2024 has chosen a new running Mate. Her name is Nicole Shanahan, a lawyer for Silicon Valley. Ms. Shanahan is 38 years old and is the ex wife of google's co-founder Sergey Brin. She has never ran for office before, not once. Robert F Kennedy Jr is known for being  an environmental lawyer and an anti vaccine activist. He is now running as an independent and in order for one to be placed on the political ballot one has to choose a Vice President. Mr Kennedy has come out fighting in an explosive introduction calling his campaign “"a spoiler for President Biden and for President Trump" that will "forge an unstoppable coalition of homeless Democrats and homeless Republicans".

Recently the attacks on Robert F Kennedy have become increasingly more provocative arguing that his long shot third party bid will be one sided towards electing Republican Frontrunner Donald Trump. Ms Shanahan was revealed on Tuesday by Robert F Kennedy, he proceeded to describe her as a “fellow lawyer, a brilliant scientist, technologist, a fierce warrior mom".

In the past she was a Democratic donor, however she has already donated to  Kennedy' Campaign according to BBC news. While Robert F Kennedy chances of  obtaining the white house are unlikely he could have a large impact on the race ahead. Kennedy is a very familiar name considering he is from one of the most famous political families in the history of the united states of America.

If it becomes a choice between Trump and Kennedy, that's a really tough question," says Sherri Guoan. "In a perfect world, I would love for them to run together."

According to the BBC, they interviewed several dozens of people within a vibrant and unique crowd who were voters. They spoke about how Kennedy's campaign could have some sort of impact or change on the race.

The BBC says “standing just a few feet away from the Guaons is retired auto worker and proud union member Alex Hernandez. A Democrat who voted for Mr Biden, he recalls his parents taking him to see a speech by Mr Kennedy's father in 1968”  He later made a remark explaining his thoughts on Kennedy and what he has to say. “He has the name and he has the heritage," he says of the younger Kennedy. "I wanted to come down here and hear what he has to say."

Robert F Kennedy Jr comes from a Democratic family tree, he is essentially a senator and a president among his other relatives. In 1968 his Father John F Kennedy was assassinated while running for the party's nomination. Meanwhile Robert F Kennedy has begun his journey in an effort to get into office by entering the democratic nomination process. While he hasn't necessarily posed much of a threat to Biden's campaign, he recently declared that he is running as an independent in a recent rally in Philadelphia "Instead of two parties we have this kind of uniparty, a two-headed monster that's constantly bickering with itself as it leads us all over a cliff," he told the crowd. He later added onto this saying "The Democrats are frightened that I'm going to spoil the election for President Biden. And the Republicans are frightened that I'm g

oing to spoil it for President Trump. The truth is, they're both right."

One important question is what candidates will be affected by Robert F Kennedy Jr and his efforts in the race for office. Mr Kennedy has spent a large portion of his career as an environmental lawyer, in recent history however according to BBC news he is known for spreading doubt and false information about vaccines through his foundation.

While Robert F Kennedy Jr is running as an independent; his signature issues that he is very passionate about mostly resonate with the republican party.

According to the BBC a recent poll found “Mr Kennedy Jr would siphon off slightly more support from Donald Trump than from Joe Biden. However, another survey, conducted by Ipsos and Reuters, showed the opposite.” Robert F Kennedy Jr seems like he will have a large impact on the competition but how big a difference will Robert end up making? Only time will tell.
