Do you like playing video games? Do you like getting competitive with other people your age? Do you like fun? Do you like winning? Can you handle losing? If you answered yes to these questions, you should join the Poudre High School E-Sport team!!

What do we play?

We play a bunch of games!!

We have League of Legends, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon 3, and more to come in the future!

When do we play?

Every week we’ll have one game day where we play against another school, and two other days where we’ll practice. These days are dependent on which game we are playing, but are spread across Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:10PM to 6:00PM. You will be asked to be there for the game day and one practice day each week. Obviously things happen where sometimes you can’t show up, such as sickness or other issues, and that’s okay. The specific game days are listed below:

League of Legends’ game day is every Tuesday, where we’ll practice Wednesday and Friday

Splatoon 3’s game day is on Tuesday, where practice will be on Wednesday and Friday

Mario Kart 8’s game day is on Wednesday, where practice will be held on Tuesday and Friday

Rocket League’s game day is on Thursday, where practice will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday

Super Smash Bros Ultimate’s game day is on Thursday, where practice will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday

Where do we meet?

We meet in the computer lab that is connected to the library of Poudre High School. The room’s number is 196J.

Who’s running this operation?

Our amazing teachers and coaches, Mr. Morley and Mr. Curry have volunteered their time to help coach and run these teams so that we can play, compete, and have fun!

How many games can I play?

You can play a maximum of two games per season. These games must have their matches on separate days, so you can play both matches each week, while retaining the ability to play your favorite games. You are still required to show up for one practice day, meaning you must show up for all three days of the week if you are playing two games instead of just one.

Requirements?

To play, players must remain eligible to play, which means they must have a maximum of one D, and no F’s in any classes. There will be a permission slip your parents must sign to ensure responsibility and a $25 tech fee to keep the program running and cover any technology issues.

The only other requirements are to show up, be respectful, and have fun! Anyone is free to join, regardless of experience. Our teams have players who have never played a computer game in their life, and people who have been playing their game for years.

Works Used

Thank you to Riot Games, Epic Games, and Nintendo for creating these games and artwork for us to play with.
